South Nash Dash 5K and Block Party I wish to help produce the South Nash Dash 5k and Block Party and associated activities. I understand that a condition of my participation is that I sign this. I understand that there are many risks associated with my involvement. They include, but are not limited to, the risk of being in a large moving crowd and attempting to control that crowd to enforce rules; that some people may physically resist enforcement of the rules, the fact that motorists may aggressively seek to enter the course; the fact that there are authorized vehicles on the course which are sometimes confronted with confusion and the necessity of making split second decisions; the fact that the vehicles carrying spectators and the press are awkward, relatively unstable and cumbersome; and the fact that there are often environmental factors such as heat, cold and wind which may make my participation hazardous. I expressly agree to assume the risk of this activity, to release and to indemnify the South Nash Dash 5k, the production company Maxx V, and their officers, agents and employees from any liability for any injuries, accidents, illnesses, damages or claims which I may sustain as a result of my participation in this activity. I also understand that this activity will include, but is not necessarily limited to, strenuous extended long distance running and walking in public and/or private streets, paths and trails in uncertain weather conditions among race participants, all which put me at the risk of personal injury, illness or even death. I agree to be responsible for, to release and indemnify the South Nash Dash and Maxx V for any expenses incurred or damages suffered as a consequence of my participation in this activity and that I am at least 18 years of age, or have a parental/guardian permission signature because I am under the age of 18. In signing this waiver, I acknowledge and represent that I have read the foregoing South Nash Dash 5k and Block Party Waiver, understand it and sign it voluntarily as my own free act and deed; no oral representations, statements or inducement, apart from the foregoing written agreement, have been made; and I execute this agreement for full, adequate and complete consideration fully intending to be bound by same. I grant permission to the South Nash Dash 5k and Block Party to utilize any and all photographs, motion pictures, videotapes, etc. which may depict me for any purpose, including commercial use by the race, its sponsors and their licensees.
